Yellowstone National Park, Part 1

Yellowstone National Park, Part 1

Two weeks have gone by and I am just getting around to writing my first article and hopefully uploading and sharing some really great photographs. Between work and some other things that needed to be taken care of, just been a little busy to get this going. And I truly wanted to give it the time and effort that it needed.

I wanted to summarize the trip in the first few paragraphs and then delve into the day to day activities, sights, pictures and overall trip in the next few posts. Betty and I have been to many great places over the last 6-7 years. Rio de Janeiro, Prague, Berlin, Bogota, Panama City, Cartagena, Barcelona and many more cities in many more countries around the world. They were all fabulous in their own ways, whether it was pure beauty, or the culture or the history and in many instance a combination of all three.

Although we have been to many cities in the US as well, there really was nothing that compares to the overall feel of nature that we got at Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park! The beauty of the landscapes, the majesty and strength of the mountains and the serenity of the lakes and waterfalls that abound in these two parks just refresh your mind, body and soul and further your belief that this earth is truly a beautiful and wonderful gift that is here for all to enjoy. Get away from the job and chores and take some stress out of your life! Spend a week travelling around this area and get back to nature.

I once read an article that theorized that we are all grasping and reaching to get back to a more simpler life, a life closer to nature, plants and animals. Just think about it…how many of us tend to plants in our homes or a garden in our backyard. How proud are we of our first tomato and how desperately do we want everyone to know about it and tell them how natural and good it tasted. How many of us have a dog, cat or horse or even fish? We strive to have the natural relationships that animals have in the wild, tending and caring for each other unconditionally. Getting off on a tangent here..pulling it back in.

Last but certainly not the least were the animals. If you read my earlier blogs, this vacation was not going to be complete with an entire variety of wild animal photographs. Although not quite true, I did get almost everything! I will share them and the circumstances in the next few blogs.

Here is a wonderful landscape of the Grand Teton peaks! Just a little appetizer.
